There are many ways to classify lighting fixtures, and according to the anti-shock method is one of them.
Class 0 luminaire
Lamps that rely on basic insulation as protection against electric shock. If the basic insulation fails, protection against electric shock will have to rely on the environment.
Class I luminaire
Anti-shock protection of lamps not only relies on basic insulation, but also includes additional safety measures, that is, the easy to reach the conductive parts connected to the protective ground conductor in the fixed line, so that the accessible conductive parts will not be charged in case the basic insulation fails.
Class II luminaire
Protection against electric shock not only relies on basic insulation, but also has additional safety measures such as double insulation or reinforced insulation, but has no measures to protect the ground or depends on installation conditions.
Class III luminaire
The power supply used is SELV - safety extra-low voltage, and no voltage higher than SELV is generated inside the lamp.
