The protection level of lamps, also known as the IP level, is a system commonly used internationally to identify the protection level of electrical equipment housing. It is composed of two numbers, the first number indicates the level of dust prevention and foreign object intrusion of the lamp, the second number indicates the degree of tightness of the lamp against moisture and waterproof intrusion. The protection levels of lamps are classified as follows:
IP20: Does not have a protective effect on the entry of solid objects with a diameter greater than 12.5mm, and is usually used in dry and dust-free indoor environments.
IP44: Prevent foreign substances from entering solid objects with a diameter greater than 1mm, which can generally be used in a humid indoor environment.
IP54: Prevent splashing, suitable for security, emergency lighting and other outdoor places.
IP65: Under acceptable pressure and time, can prevent water into the lighting equipment, and water will not cause damage to the equipment, generally suitable for outdoor environment.
IP67: Has a protective effect on water immersion, preventing water penetration or damage inside the equipment after immersion in the specific depth of water within the specified time, suitable for underwater lighting, swimming pool and other water environment. 1456
IP68: Waterproof (immersion), can be used underwater, to protect the lamp from water immersion, suitable for underwater lamps, submarine engineering and other underwater places.
In addition, the protection level of the lamp can also be selected and customized according to the use environment and requirements.
