Light is everywhere in life, the variety of lamps in the family, the color of the light is more and more, but these colorful lights have great security risks for the child's eye vision, which lights will hurt the child's eyes?
1. Purple light
Purple light is the most harmful to the eyes, such as the purple light installed in the community to kill mosquitoes, arc light emitted when welding.
Blue light is the closest to purple light, the damage to the eyes is also great, long-term exposure to the eye is prone to acute damage, resulting in corneal epithelium shedding.
2.LED lighting
Kids sometimes play with their parents' phones. If not controlled, it may play all day, and the light of the phone is a significant factor in myopia.
First let's understand a technical term - tear film. When we blink, tears are evenly distributed across the conjunctiva sac, forming a thin liquid film that keeps the cornea and conjunctiva moist. The tear film rupture time is the duration of the tear film in the eye, which is usually used to determine whether the tear production is sufficient.
Usually, people blink about 10 to 20 times per minute, and the normal value of tear film rupture time is about 14 to 15 seconds. If it's less than 10 seconds, it could be an eye disease.
3. Bath bully
During winter bathing, many families turn on the bath bar to keep warm. The light intensity of the four lamps can reach more than 1,100 watts. Children's vision is not fully developed, only 1/30 of that of adults.
When they take a bath, it's easy to stare at the overhead light out of curiosity. Staring at light for long periods of time (more than 10 minutes) may damage the macular area of the eye used to perceive light and color, and symptoms such as macular edema and eye congestion may occur, leading to vision loss and distortion, and this damage is often irreversible.
Therefore, you can use a warm air heater when bathing the baby, so as not to cause damage to the baby's eyes.
4.Flash
Documenting a child's growth with photos is something many parents do, but there may be flash lights in the dark. This bright light can easily cause amblyopia in babies.
Because in the dark, people's pupils will subconsciously become larger, thus increasing the amount of light entering. If a flash is used, then a large amount of light will go directly to the retina and stimulate the eyeball.
So make sure you turn off your phone's flash. If you go to a photo studio, try to go after your child is one month old.
In order to create a favorable learning lighting environment for children, many people think that as long as the warm light lighting can be, in fact, it is not.
Warm light sources are not conducive to reading or writing because of their low color temperature. 5000k and 6500k high color temperature (cool light source) is more popular with students, more suitable for reading, writing and other demanding visual work. High color temperature is more conducive to delaying the visual fatigue of primary and secondary school students and improving learning efficiency, so most of the primary and secondary school classrooms use high color temperature fluorescent lamps.
