What are the heat dissipation structures of outdoor floodlights?

In the outdoor lighting industry, there are three common types of LED flood light radiators.

1. The main body of the first outdoor flood light is made of high-pressure extruded aluminum. The lamp body is divided into two parts. The power driver and the LED light source are installed in two parts separately to avoid the cross-transfer of heat between the LED light source and the power driver. The advantage of this is that the service life of the power driver and LED light source is guaranteed. This is a die-cast aluminum LED outdoor floodlight for outdoor engineering lighting.

2. The second type of high-power floodlight adopts high-quality aluminum alloy radiator, and the power box adopts a split design, which effectively separates the electric heat, and realizes heat dissipation through the structural design of air convection aluminum plate to ensure rapid heat dissipation and prolong the service life of the LED light source. The surface of the lamp housing is anodized, which is durable and not easy to fade. The structure of this high-power floodlight is also beautiful, and it is very dustproof and waterproof.

3. The third type of LED outdoor floodlight adopts direct pair and direct heat dissipation. The design is a break from the traditional method of die-casting floodlights. As shown in the image above, the front and rear holes of the heat sink are preheated to allow for faster heat flow. Circulation, the heat of the LED heating node is directly output, which quickly reduces the heating temperature of the PN node and reduces the light decay speed of the LED light source. This direct heat dissipation structure outdoor floodlight also needs to use an optical-grade PMMA high-efficiency lens for secondary light distribution, and the light efficiency utilization rate is ≥95%. This modular design is often used for tunnel floodlights. It can be spliced arbitrarily to meet the power needs of customers in different projects.
